their first time in Europe, I’m really glad they’re here!!!

… on theaters!
strongly recommended:
1- Beowulf in 3D

I didn’t watch the 2D version, and I am completely amazed and positively surprised – the storyboard is pure rock n’ roll (OF COURSE!! One of the writers is Neil Gaiman, yeah!) and the graphics are almost perfect (ok, ok, Micha – the perfectionist – found them pretty cheap… sigh… this guy is just too exigent!!!)
Whatever. You all should try that yourselves… here the Official Website: http://www.beowulfmovie.com/

2 – Tim Burton’s Nightmare Before Christmas - 3D

Since it’s one of my favourite movies (oh my God!! Tim Burton and Danny Elfman together, what else could I wish???), OF COURSE I’ll visit the theaters some MANY times to watch the 3D version. I can’t barely wait, maybe I’ll manage to go to the cinema tomorrow, let’s see…

Once again I’m too lazy to write it using my own words… and, since Martin did such a good job – describing in his blog in few words what happened in Arnhem – I’ll quote his post here:
Friday till Saturday – no sleep till Alsergrund
Saturday – plane/train/train – Arnheim!Great venue, great bands, dutch prices, great metal market
Primordial – the greatest, what a perfect concert.
Hollenthon – most exciting, friends I´m totally affected.
God Dethroned – lazy sound/most surprising (…)
and none of the other bands sucked! what a great happening!
The guys: special thanks to Willi for keeping me awake. Thanks to Vera, Jürgen, Chris, Martin and Roli for keeping me alive. And also thanks to Hollenthon guys (specially Martin Schirenc) for having taken care of me @ the after show party.
beyond that point 7 austrians (actually 6 Austrians and a Brazilian) were searching for fun, party and excitement – we found nothing:
no bars in that town, After Show Party: we weren´t allowed to drop in, always said they were full,
(hmm… actually I did manage to get in!!!)
so we spent two hours on searching for a room, none free for us (thanx to Mr. Bruce Springsteen, who was to play somewhere in the Arnheim-Area). And it was damn cold and windy. No bar, no beer, no place to be only the asphalts of Arnheim…
Guess what, it didn´t last that long to get off the alcohol level without hangover. We had to wait for 7,5 hours until the train could bring us out of that disapponting city.
I´ll keep it in mind my little dutch adventure, and I´ve learned: never come back without having rent a room there, but again with my friends.
.. and next year we’ll be back there: “… you’ll come running back… you’ll come running back… to meeeeee!!”
(quoting Rolling Stones…
)
beijos, Jaqui
