A friend of mine used to say (about me): “certain things happen only to certain people”.
That’s it. So… 41 celsius degrees (or 105.8F if you prefer) and I managed to come down with a Flu!!! Fantastic. One week laying in my bed (well, actually in Micha’s bed, hehehehe), with fever and all those stuff you know the flu uses to bring along.
Well… so one week suffering the heat and having to lay in bed. Hmpf.
Such a sad thing…
Ok, but now I’m almost healthy again… so let’s talk about news!
- The situation in Israel got stranger in some ways… I got lots of jokes (?!?!?!?!?!?!?!) about the israeli state of art… It never happened before. Awful.
- My mailbox is not “that” full, since Micha was too busy studying for the last test of this term, and for this reason I was “allowed” to play with his “weißes Ding” – no, it’s not a nasty thing. It’s only his iBook…
- Bad news: I have already worked the 180 half-days I’m allowed to, per year. Let me explain it: foreign students (except when their home country has some specific agreement with the European Union) are allowed to work in Germany only 90 full days (or 180 half-days) per year. I have already worked all of them. You know what it means? I cannot work in Germany this year anymore. You know what it means? I will starve!!!
It’s not fair. Here in this country there’s a lot of lazy people who are allowed to work, but they DON’T WANT TO!! They get money from the government and stay at home drinking beer. But I… I WANT TO WORK!!! I really want to. And I need to, since the government gives me no money. But I CAN’T!!! I am not allowed to.
What am I going to do? No clue. I need money and I don’t want to be a clandestine worker. I can apply for a scholarship, but I am too old and I am living in Germany for a long, long time… My chances are really remote.
- Good news: I got a placement at the Human Resources at the same company I was working for till June. The job is really cool, I’ll work with personal development and international delegations. At last I’ll have enough contact with the most valuable thing in this world: PEOPLE. It’s only a 2-month placement, but I’m already excited and ready to learn some cool things (and do some not-so-cool things, but it’s part of the game, nothing is perfect…)
- More good news: I started – after months and months complaining about my shape – the Weight Watchers program! Nope, I’ll not give them lots of money to tell me all the things I already know. I just bought their brochures per eBay and started the program this week. Ok, I was sick, it makes people “lose” weight… but anyway… only one week and I’m already 0,7 kg (or 1.5 pounds if you prefer) thinner!!! yeaaaaaaaaaaah!!!! – ok, I know it’s easier to lose weight at the beginning of the program, but… hey, just let me be happy, ok?
Well, I think that’s it… for now. I still have to organise my life after this laying-in-bed-week. And try to write all my homeworks before the placement beginns (on 7th August, wow!)
see ya!
